Jessica  McGrady,  Owner  &  Creative  Director

Jessica's love of design, care for people, and commitment to quality are the backbone of Little Bow Studios. Her breadth of experience in the creative industries has given her a unique perspective and a versatile skill set.

Jessica began her career at HarperCollins Publishers, where she specialized in memoir, cookbooks, and high-design books. While at Harper, she edited numerous non-fiction titles, including the New York Times bestseller, Bloom, a unique memoir featuring full-color photography and design. Working closely with her authors, she managed every aspect of their detailed and fast-paced book projects, including cover and interior design, book content development, marketing, and copywriting.

After nearly 5 years as a trade book editor, Jessica expanded her creative expertise, joining a large non-profit as the organization's first-ever Director of Communications. While there, she managed and piloted several social media accounts; ran the organization's website; wrote and edited weekly promotional content; shot, directed, and edited numerous videos; designed print materials, web content, signage, and displays; and spearheaded large scale events, setting the tone for quality creative communications.

Jessica has a B.A. in English and Creative Writing from The George Washington University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa, and was the winner of The GW Review's fiction writing contest. She received her M.F.A. from Vermont College of Fine Arts.
